Commitment to Families
● We want you to feel confident entrusting your child to us. Our counselors and staff are trained, background-checked, and united in our mission to provide a safe, Christ-centered, and joy-filled week.
● Together, we create a place where children can experience God’s love, make lasting
friendships, and enjoy the simple joys of camp.
Safety & Supervision
● Every cabin and activity group is led by trained counselors who model Christian values and provide supervision throughout the week.
● We maintain safe ratios of counselors to campers.
● Counselors follow strict boundaries: they are never alone with a camper, and all activities are monitored.
Health & Care
● A designated medical staff member oversees first aid and medical needs.
● Only assigned counselors dispense medication, ensuring professional care at all times.
● We accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs, working with families in advance to keep meal times safe.
● Campers are reminded to stay hydrated, use sunscreen and rest during quiet time and during lights out.
Daily Life & Spiritual Growth
● Camp days are filled with Bible study, worship, games, crafts, and outdoor activities.
● Counselors guide campers through routines like meals, hygiene, rest time, and bedtime,
making camp both structured and fun.
● Our staff leads with patience, encouragement, and respect—helping children build
friendships, develop independence, and grow in faith.
Catechetical Summary
The Anglican Church Camp of the Midwest exists to form youth in the historic Christian
faith through faithful teaching, worship, and life together in Christ. Rooted in the Anglican tradition and guided by the catechesis of the Church, camp life is centered on Holy Scripture, the Creeds, the Sacraments—especially the Holy Eucharist—and prayer shaped by the Book of Common Prayer. Through intentional catechesis, daily worship, and Christian fellowship, campers are invited to grow their faith, to know and love Jesus Christ as Lord, and to live as faithful members of His Church in obedience, joy, and hope.
Discipline & Conduct
● We use positive guidance, modeling Christ-like behavior and encouraging good choices.
● Bullying, disrespect, or unsafe behavior is not tolerated. Serious issues are brought immediately to leadership.
● Parents will be contacted if concerns arise that require family involvement.
